A Brett: Well, the best thing about that style body construction is, I can choose the best match of a body and wing when I make a guitar. When Katsumi showed me the original drawing of Tsubasa, I thought "hey, this could be interesting!" since it has that bolt-on wing. It gives me another tool to tune the resonance. If you change the neck material of a bolt-on neck guitar, the tone can be dramatically changed. But with the Tsubasa, the wing is another factor effecting the tone.  Since the wing is not a small part, the tone changes aren't so subtle, sometimes.  I needed to do a lot of experimenting by mixing different materials, but now I know how to fine tune a Tsubasa's acoustic tonal character.
